About five years ago, I bought a BuzzTV XRS4500. After enjoying it for a while, I don't remember exactly if it was due to an update, but the original software stopped booting. Today, I tried pressing the reset button for 10-15 seconds, but nothing happened. I tried flashing "Armbian" via microSD to rule out the console working, and it seems to be functioning; it displays an image when booting from the microSD card, but the original operating system doesn't load. I thought it would be easy to reinstall the original firmware, but it's not possible; there's no BuzzTV database that indicates how. What can I do to revive my BuzzTV and enjoy its interface again? Hi, Whenever I pause a movie on VOD it exits after a couple of minutes. On resume, it starts from random time not from the same time it was paused. Is there a solution to this problem? Moreover, my BuzzTv XRS 4500's software never updated eversince I bought it and is stuck at 2021 version. Is there a way to update it manually? So a funny thing happened the last few weeks, my XRS4500 froze on the buzz tv startup logo. I remember there was software updates being done on it, since we had company over, I decided to leave the box alone and use the features on my smart tv instead. After company left, I switched inputs and I was mind boggled why it was still frozen at the boot logo. I tried every button on the remote, nothing worked. It was late, I was tired the kids were tired, i unplugged it and went to bed. 2 days later I googled how to factory reset, so i put a tooth pick in the AV hole, and plugged it in while holding it down, the recovery screen came so i reset the box thru that. …

Hi. I have an xr4500. The last week or so i get the message stream unavailable try again later on a lot of my channels. Its an issue with my local ISP. I can use a VPN and it goes away, is there an easier fix? Like updating the player in buzztv 5 or? Thanks

Hi I appreciate these boxes are now discontinued, but I have not had any firmware updates since forever & from memory, I may have had the last one I had pushed to my box from a kind person on here as the ota seemed not be be working. My current firmware is V20220919, IPTV Ver 5.0.946. Can someone advise if this is in fact the latest version & does this box actually still recieve updates now ? Thanks in advance.

My dad has a XRS4500 and wants to temporarily connect it to another TV temporarily in his basement. The TV downstairs has Composite video and audio input jacks, so he would like to find a 3.5MM cable to RCA and would like to know what are the pinouts so we can use the most appropriate cable connector.

I have an XRS4500 Max. Is it possible, and if so how, to connect my portable USB DVD drive to my device to watch DVD media through the media box? I've plugged the DVD drive into the media box's USB port thinking I might be able to access the disk's content through VLC or a file manager, but it appears as though the hardware isn't being recognized.

Hello, I'm using the BuzzTV XRS4500 box and recently just ran into an issue while trying to watch a video. I stated watching and noticed some subtitles. I hit the green button to access the audio/subtitle menu. While trying to disable the subtitles, I accidentally went down to the audio section and selected "disable" . It immediately shut the audio off. I tried to select the English track again and the box checks back and I exit the audio menu, but no audio (video still playing). Hello Experts, When I perform a VOD search for a movie, I get multiple movie results. Some of them are dubbed in another regional language and I have to sort to finally get to the original English version. I have a streaming service that requires that I down load an "ASP" program file to add my subscription details and to function. I have a Buzztv XRS4500 but I do can not seem to able to get to the right place to add this ASP program. I am not computer literate, so perhaps I am making errors - any help will be appreciated.

Hello All, I have been noticing intermittent issues on my Buzz box:- XRS4500 Version 9. Build V20220106.20220106 Kernel:4.9.113 Buzz TV 5.0.919 Updated on 02/09/2024 Upon selecting either a VOD or browsing through Live TV channels, it fails to load the screen stating MEDIA FORMAT IS NOT SUPPORTED. This happens intermittently and I can sometimes get around the issue by performing a reboot of the box. At times, it also just hangs when scrolling Live TV up and down. Any idea what can be causing this, or any checks I can perform. It is hard for me to explain as this is an intermittent issue. Thanks for all the help H.

I have a friend with two XRS 4500 boxes hooked on the same home network. One is hardwired and one is on wi-fi, they were both working fine. Hey all, Has anyone been able to find a working version of HBO max for the buzz? I've tried on both the xrs4500 and Essentials boxes with no luck. The Android TV versions of the app don't display properly. The mobile version of the apk doesn't load files. Wasn't sure if anyone found a good version of the apk that works on the buzz boxes. I tried updating aptoide on my 4500. When I try I get a google message that the update is dangerous and it does not load. Any suggestions. I am trying to update because the version of Aptoide that Is on the unit does not have an app for Nordvpn.

Hi Everybody ! I have used the Buzztv 3000 in the past, and an option was available to change the MAC adress of the box to the blue button, however no option is available for the XRS4500. Will this option become available in a future update on XRS4500 ? Thanks.

Hello, So I had seen a similar issue in the past when using the SEARCH feature under VOD. But then the issue was the & and other such characters in the movie name. But yesterday I was unable to list AIR FORCE ONE. Search returned the movie in other languages. I reached out to my supplier and he sent me a screenshot he can find the movie ( i believe he was using a different player) Anyone know of anything like this? Is there a software update or something. I recall checking last week my firmware was up to date. Help! Thanks

Quick question. If I do a backup on a XRS4500 can I transfer that backup to a XRS4500 MAX? The reason I am asking is because I have a XRS4500 setup just the way I want everything and I purchased a XRS4500 MAX and I would like to transfer everything to my new XRS4500 MAX from my XRS4500 to it.
