Xrs4500 loses connection to server

Featured Replies

Hi. I have an XRS4500 box and my box keeps dropping the server - especially when I transition from LiveTV to VOD and vice versa. Have had the same issue since day 1. Have owned the Buzz 3000 - never an issue.

wondering if I have a faulty box?

is that happening on 1 server or you have tried on multiple server?

did you try a factory reset?

didi you contact your iptv provider to see if anything is on their end?

let us know what you have done so far makes easy to troubleshoot. 🙂

Hi. Yeah. I’ve been on the forum before. Buzz sent me an update to take care of the issue. I still had the same issue - but less often. I’ve done a soft reset. But not a hard reset. Is that my next step?? I have another box with the provider and that runs fine - no issues.  Is doing a hard reset my next step?

I would do that just for process of elimination. that might work. let us know please. 🙂

I did a restart  to get the connection then when I turn box off (standby) then back on after say 1 hour  i need to restart again to get connection with server..

I also did a soft reset but still get same issue.

if hard wired make sure wifi is off

also try setting box to power off rather than standby and see what happens

it is hard wired and wifi off

when you say power off do you mean suspend ??

No suspend is not off.

Hold power button down and select power off  or use settings

In powerkey definitions it gives  shutdown that give a same result as  restart that takes me to the buzztv splash screen I dont want to be waiting 3 minuetes to get to the live tv.

iptv provider says theres no problem on there side so I think the box could be faulty.

The whole point was to see if there were any issues connecting from power off

i have buzz xrs4500 tv box was working  well on buzz 4

when i upgraded my box to the latest which  is buzz 5

i keep loosing my wifi connection to my buzz box

in order to get it working   i have to plug the power for one minute

then it works well   . but the problem come back after you turn off the box.

i think the BUG is in the buzz 5 upgrade ,i also experence lost of sound

and freesing of  some  channels .but it comes back in 5 min.

If there was an issue with the update there would be dozens of posts on it

You could try clearing cache

If still an issue try clearing data

Then a reset if still an issue

Do a backup of your server settings etc beforehand
