Miguel Angel Perez Rodriguez Posted May 6 Posted May 6 About five years ago, I bought a BuzzTV XRS4500. After enjoying it for a while, I don't remember exactly if it was due to an update, but the original software stopped booting. Today, I tried pressing the reset button for 10-15 seconds, but nothing happened. I tried flashing "Armbian" via microSD to rule out the console working, and it seems to be functioning; it displays an image when booting from the microSD card, but the original operating system doesn't load. I thought it would be easy to reinstall the original firmware, but it's not possible; there's no BuzzTV database that indicates how. What can I do to revive my BuzzTV and enjoy its interface again? Any help was appreciated, thanks Quote

It seems the bootloader is stuck. After pressing the reset button with a wooden stick for 15 seconds, the screen goes gray and still doesn't display an image. However, if I use any Linux image, such as "Armbian" or "Batocera," from the microSD card, it displays an image and works perfectly. Quote

I can't perform the "update.zip" process. I don't know if I need an original Firmware.img file to try and revive it with the Amlogic Burning Tool. I've seen it revived that way, but only with the original firmware. 8 hours ago, dishuser said: do a hard reset I already tried that, but it's still the same. It turns on, but there's no image. I had a friend with similar to your experience with xrs4500 and I was able to fix for him using above file and steps. So If you are unable to fix with above posted file and steps then it’s time buy a new box. Quote
