Even if you are using XC, if you start to channel surf, the number of connections can go up and the server does not close other connections fast enough, and therefore you can hit your connection limit and server can cancel the recording stream.
-
Sound like server is using a non-supported encoding on that one channel, and unit is probably trying to pass-thru for decoding to downstream device. Try the following: From Home screen, Settings (Gear icon)->Device preferences->Display and Sound->Advance sound settings->Select formats (and select "none: never use surround sound"). And see if that helps.

You buy the latest device of any brand or device type and you need to expect that there are early bugs. It i EXACTLY the same with everything, including Cell phones, even the GOOGLE ones, which have some serious dumb issues (and I have owned a few of them). And you mentioned the Fo@#$%$ unit, and I know many who had pre-ordered their latest box, and many months later, they are still using the tivim%@#$% app on the box, since their app is still riddled with bugs compared to their previous version. NEW boxes, new software, always requires some fixes, without any exceptions. Buy a new "generation" véhicule after major redesigns, is unfortunately exactly the same issue nowadays. You can't deal with that, you buy something from previous generation.

You've already experienced this with the X5, 2 or 3 years ago. Just because it "works" today, does not mean it will continue to work tomorrow. The Disney app was available on the playstore one day, and the next day it would say it was not even compatible with your device (not even 1080p vs 4k). Disney+ app is a hit an miss. It took them forever to even get something as simple as the google streamer to be properly supported with 4k, and that is an actual google box. I would have said that if these 3rd party apps (netflix, disney, hulu, etc..) are critical for you, then you'd probably be better off with the Buzz G-Series box which is google certified. But with Disney's track record, I have no clue what to even say with any certainty
-
If you suspect anything odd, then backup your servers on buzztv 5 onto a usb stick (to easily restore servers/favorites and/or setting later), and then reset the box if you'd like. Maybe it was installed along some other 3rd party app you installed. Anything more we say would be just speculation. You have the info now, you can do as you see fit.

Or your server has spelled it wrong in the naming... Try "Freinds" instead of "Friends". The poster means nothing.
-
Did you scroll down ? Seems to be quite a few hits and there seems to be more further down.
-
It's not an issue for 90% of the people. And being a USB-C power supply, you are free to just get a good quality longer USBC cable if you need something longer.
-
Anti Virus apps work in strange ways, and maybe that is their way of doing some sorted of protected scanning. I don't bother with AV programs on Android. Other than watching TV, I don't do anything critical with those boxes (no banking or anything else sensitive). Hell I even disable Google Protect since it often gets in the way when I want to sideload certain apps.

I'd tell you to just look on amazon for a USB-C laptop adapter. But those are also hit and miss. Some work, and some don't. I suspect it is because of the PD negotiation. A power supply will need to default to basic 5V if it can't negotiate. Some do not and will output nothing if they don't negotiate PD. I have at least 10 of them at home and I tested a few and it is about 50-50 chance that it works. Other option is to get little short extension cords (plenty on amazon). They come in handy when trying to get as many block adapters as possible onto a power bar.

Often some will do alphabetically and ordering is even funnier when they don't number the first episodes with 2 digits (01, 02, 03, 04,..) Then you get S01E1, S01E10, S01E11...S01E19, S01E2, S01E21.... And if they do that with Season numbering also, you seem to get a few episodes in proper order, and then it shoots all over the place.

I was at 289 before I update to 299 on Friday and I had no issues searching either. @gig63 if you have an AI, can you do the same test in TV Series and see if yours works ? I am suspecting something with the providers internal description of the series. But seriously curious if there are any other hits when they search for "friends".
-
I don't have a Classic AI yet, but that should not matter since that is BuzzTV 6 app related. What version of BuzzTV 6 is installed on your Classic AI ? On my Powerstation I now have 1.0.299 (May not be available to all yet), and I have no issues searching for "Friends" and getting piles of hits including the series.. Do you get any hits ? Provide a little more info. Box is Classic AI I assume ? What version of BuzzTV are you running.

No nvme and no other external storage (usb, etc..) ? Just checking, you are still using the original power supply that came with the unit ? Which is 12V,3A (not 5V like most other Buzz boxes) ? If you have another 12V power supply (minimum 3A) with center positive, and the barrel fits, you can try with another power supply to ensure it is not the power supply failing. If the unit is still under warranty, you can also just email CS at Buzz and see if they have any other recommendations. As a test, if you have another HDMI cable, maybe check to see if that helps. Probably not, but may as well eliminate that.
-
Do you have an nvme drive installed ? If so, remove it and try again. If the nvme drive has filed and was formatted and configured as internal storage (instead of portable), the P6 may have installed some app files on the drive and can no longer access them. You may also need to do a hard factory reset. When you install an nvme drive (or any external atorage) on android, you are better off formatting as "portable storage".

It is on the Google Play store. But be careful, there are 2 versions, but one version is intended to be for mobile devices. For the Gbox, you want the one on the left in the pic below.

Buzztv 6 mobile app
Emporium replied to Gary Medeiros's topic in BuzzTV 6 OS (PowerStation P6 and Classic AI)
This version will probably always be locked to BuzzTV boxes. For now it is the Gbox (since that is the only official google box BuzzTV makes), but who knows if they eventually come out with another one. All other BuzzTV boxes (like the Classic, X5, U5, etc..) still get their BuzzTV 5 software via OTA updates direct from Buzz. And the P6 and L1 get BuzzTV 6 via OTA updates. -
Is this the INITIAL power up ? I am pretty sure the FIRST power up you do need to connect it to the internet for it to download it's latest updates and install some remote apps. But after the first boot, it does not "NEED" the network.
-
I don't have an AI yet, but there are typically zoom options under the settings, display options for most of the buzz boxes. This allows you to scaled the video output to fit your screen if it does not by default. I have never "needed" to use it, but I have seen it and played with it a few times just to test.

Buzztv 6 mobile app
Emporium replied to Gary Medeiros's topic in BuzzTV 6 OS (PowerStation P6 and Classic AI)
This is not the section for the mobile app. The Mobile app section ( https://stbtalk.com/forum/127-buzztv-mobile-apps/ ) will be made available soon for posting issues found with the mobile app specifically. -
The integrated BuzzTV software is designed for IPTV which by nature would need internet connection. Except as du mentioned above, you can play saved recording/downloads. Guess you can also install a 3rd party software like Plex, Jellyfin or even just use VLC and browse a local NAS or other local storage (USB or network) to play local media.
-
I assume you want to record to a USB stick ? You'd need a USB stick with a decent write speed (not any cheap crap). Needs to be formatted, ideally as exFAT. Insert into X5. From withing BuzzTV app, press Menu button, and go to PVR->PVR Options->Recording Storage Location. By default it is probably on "Internal shared storage". If it sees your USB drive, it will show it there. That is for PVR Recordings. Now if you want to download Movies/TV Series, you would need to setup the PVR->PVR Options->Download Storage" option. You cannot download to internal storage. so by default it is set to NA if you have nothing. Select it, and if you have USB storage, you can select it. Once you select some external storage, you will be able to "download" your VOD/TV Series. However keep in mind that it is very dependent on your server and the number of connections you have. If you exceed you max connections, your download will stop/fail. Keep in mind that if you are channel surfing as it downloads, sometimes some servers take time to update and realize you have changed channels and may assume you have multiple simultaneous connections as you channel surf and will disconnect/fail your download.

Buzztv 6 mobile app
Emporium replied to Gary Medeiros's topic in BuzzTV 6 OS (PowerStation P6 and Classic AI)
You mention G-Series box and your title says Buzztv mobile app. The app that will be for the G-Series box is NOT the mobile app. The Mobile app is exactly that, for Mobile devices only. It is not meant for use on the GSeries box. And it is the first release, so it will surely have issues. It was just released for early evaluation. I just checked and I can assume you the version on the G-Series box DOES allow you to edit the MAC address, and even the DEVICEID 1 and 2 fields. I am not 100% sure if the version is yet available to the general public, but if it is not I am sure it will be shortly. There is a section dedicated for the Mobile app specifically, and it will soon be open for feedback on the mobile app. https://stbtalk.com/forum/127-buzztv-mobile-apps/ -
I'll let other make that recommendation. For now I have switched to an old Sharp Aquos I had, since I am waiting to redo my basement this summer before picking up something new.
