Hello my good friends and thank you for all the help. I noticed that U5 stays on after the scheduled recording program has ended. I was under the impression that when you set the PVR to record a program, the box will turn on and record ( and that is what it did) But, after the recording was finished the U5 stayed "ON" and I thought it should have turned itself off. Please correct me if I am wrong about that. Thanks again for this great forum.

  5. So I loaded Tivimate Premium and it works great. I did notice however that while in the Tivimate app, when I push the BT-400's "Guide" button it brings up Tivimate's guide but about 3 seconds later also initializes Buzz TV's tv guide screen outside the app and kicks me out of Tivimate. Can this be fixed in a future firmware update please? This is very annoying as all the other universal (non proprietary) buttons on the remote work properly for Tivimate except guide. Thanks, Matt

  6. Why did you guys remove the Navigation Bar and Favorites Bar options from the BuzzTV Utilities as found on the XRS4900? The ability to customize the U5's home screen to set up a pure IPTV box is crucial and would make the user interface so much cleaner instead of these giant clumsy looking app and fav boxes (U5: BuzzTv modern). How about allowing us to hide the "All Apps" row and show the "VOD Favorites" row instead? Or show all the rows on one home screen just with smaller rows and not giant clumsy looking boxes? This is such a great product, its a shame the front end isn't much more customizable. Please look into updating this in future firmware releases.

I’ve had my U5 for several months and really like it better than my other ‘devices’. However, for some time now, easily 4-5 months, it seems that my unit randomly loses the WiFi connection. I turn off the WiFi (in settings, not my home network), and turn it back on. Rarely will it automatically reconnect to my network until I’ve done this 5+ times. A day or 2 later this process has to be repeated. I’ve tried rebooting the unit, removing/connecting power, etc. Nothing fixes this issue. A week ago I decided to connect to my network via ethernet over power line configuration. This obv negates any WiFi issue, and while it does slightly reduce my connection speed, the unit is …

Anyone know where on Buzz5 you can do a backup on the U5 box? I can't find anywhere on the system where is is allowing you to do a backup or restore. Or am I missing it somewhere?

Does anyone know if the BT-100 or BT-200 remote will work with the U5 box? The BT-400 will not work the way I need it to (don't want it to control the TV on & off). I am using the IR-200 remote to control the U5 right now and it operates the way I need it to, but the IR-200 remote is not backlite, I would like to get a backlite remote.

The U5 has as similar housing as the XRS4900 with the distinctive honeycomb pattern on the top cover. The guts are similar to the X5 (except for the internal storage which is 32GB), and features the Amlogic S905X4 chipset. This Quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor with ARM-G31 MP2 GPU support up to 4K with the various profiles listed below in the specs. U5 TV Box runs on Android 11 OS with preinstalled BuzzTV 5 app/launcher with quick access to Live TV, PVR+, VOD, and other features. Like the xrs4900 is also has a 2.5-inch SSD / HDD SATA bay for use with PVR, TimeShift or download from VOD. Specifications (taken from Buzz web site) Processing: …
