    I know VLC can be set to run backwards I would try settings-configuration-change video player from primary to external

    know you said new HDMI but like Maestro said try another Could be a bad one But if it is still doing it I would save all you settings and servers and do a factory reset as it may have something corruped in it

    Well mine went to a black screen after the first reboot then rebooted again and it was fine

    OK this may not be even close But what I think happened is when you sat on the remote you hit a bunch of buttons and confused it or the stb and it just took abit for it to recover
