if the power option is set to standby it will be in standby no matter which remote you use

usually a refresh will fix the sync if its not a server issue

you can leave it on the home page I think it works on standby not 100% sure though In a future update you will be able to power it off

the only time I have seen this is when its hooked up to a tv thats not 4k
