what firmware and software versions do you have?

give it another try about 2 years ago I had to try twice and it took almost 20 minutes

was the red light on when you released reset button?

did you unplug and push and hold reset button and plug back in?

you can have more files in root directory you just have to make sure that includes the 3 needed
