The update downloaded a few days ago. I am still having a problem with the Epg not loading. It’s an XML format. I tried clearing the cache and restarting but it’s not loading. I have a Classic 5. Should I be doing something else?

XML on M3U or XC?

I am still having trouble with the EPG. Only about half the guide will fill. I have the classic 5 with firmware V20251127 and V5.0.965. I have tried going from xml to server EPG but still no improvement. No problem with EPG usung Tivimate or Formuxxx on either boxes.

I have cleared EPG and cache. Still no luck. I think maybe I should do a factory reset. I’m afraid to do that because I have checked the backups(which are on an SD card). I can click on a backup from a certain date to restore it but when I try to open the restored server it will not open. So if I do a factory reset, none of my app settings, servers and favorites have been backed up.

Further up you mentioned it was an M3U server.  However On the pic above, it looks like you have selected a MAC server to connect when you got the error.

Which one is it ?

It is definitely an m3u. Just that when the error message comes up it shows Mac highlighted in the background. Thanks for responding.

that happened to me recently

So I did a factory reset and only a few channels have a guide, most don’t. After the reset I did not insert the sd card. I did not restore any saved content.

After reset, did you check if you were still at latest BuzzTV 5 s/w version ?  Had a customer yesterday complain about the same issue after a reset.  They manually checked for updates, updated to latest BuzzTV 5 again (even though it was updated pre-reset), did a clear EPG and then everything came in properly.

Even though it looked like I was on the latest update I manually checked it and updated again and then Epg loaded properly. Thanks for the suggestion!

When you reset, it re-installs the pre installed version on the Firmware
Which right now on all Android 11 models is V940

It takes about 10-20 mins to see the newer version for an update 
As we send App Updates separately from Firmware.

So for you I guess the reset fixed it? I'm just tired of resetting the box anytime an issue like that happens. Maybe I am too lazy 🫣
