Buzztv 6 mobile app

Featured Replies

Just downloaded the app from the google playstore and the mac address can not be changed. That will be a serious issue for those with iptv subs that use mac addresses especially in Canada. I bought the g series box to use the buzz tv 6 app for that specific reason I hope that they fix this issue. Its a big one in my opinion.

You mention G-Series box and your title says Buzztv mobile app.  The app that will be for the G-Series box is NOT the mobile app.  The Mobile app is exactly that, for Mobile devices only.  It is not meant for use on the GSeries box.  And it is the first release, so it will surely have issues.  It was just released for early evaluation.

I just checked and I can assume you the version on the G-Series box DOES allow you to edit the MAC address, and even the DEVICEID 1 and 2 fields.

I am not 100% sure if the version is yet available to the general public, but if it is not I am sure it will be shortly.

There is a section dedicated for the Mobile app specifically, and it will soon be open for feedback on the mobile app.  https://stbtalk.com/forum/127-buzztv-mobile-apps/

Just another update so the app is now available on the google playstore so i installed it on my g series box, so far so good. Im assuming you can use this app on other official android boxes. I did test it but i was unable to add a server because when i highlighted the servers icon and press ok to access it it wont do anything. But it did work on the g series box. Just something i noticed

Its locked to the gbox

Other devices get a demo server

Nothing else

This version will probably always be locked to BuzzTV boxes.

For now it is the Gbox (since that is the only official google box BuzzTV makes), but who knows if they eventually come out with another one.

All other BuzzTV boxes (like the Classic, X5, U5, etc..) still get their BuzzTV 5 software via OTA updates direct from Buzz.  And the P6 and L1 get BuzzTV 6 via OTA updates.

why would they make it available to any box not made by buzz?

I guess i thought because it was available on the google playstore that it might happen. But making it only for buzz boxes makes sense.

I just installed this on my mobile and was a piece of cake and almost works perfectly. Live TV works great , and series shows up but movies are not showing under movies.  I used XC codes API .But good job so far very responsive and nice GUI. Can't see EPG either but not experimented enough as off yet..

Go into settings and change epg source

Did this to provider URL didn't work maybe need to change url and some extension not sure

Search for movies works though using VOD search.. Just not filtering into movie section..

For me the EPG does get pulled and works fine with the main server I use, but when looking at channel list, by default channels all say "Live Stream" under them (not the guide).  But in the playing video screen, if you press the second icon which is next to the "cast" icon (which looks like the bullet point list) it brings up the channel EPG.

Is it possible to remove the demo server in the g series ? I did remove it until the app reopens again the demo loads back. Thanks

This thread is NOT for the G-Series app.  It is for the Mobile app only.   Mobile app does NOT have the demo server installed.
