Well, here is the thing I actually finally received an update 5.0.762 without providing my mac address and this was a serious concern too you all. So, I am not sure how I received it now without providing my MAC but it should be rolled out to all users as I know others who have not received the update. .

Here is my dilemma? Why, release a product if there will be no updates and only beta releases? It makes absolutely no sense as I cannot receive an update without providing my mac address unsecurely through this forum or directly to you. Thanks.

I know because I read the issues in the forum. Please have the new update available for download?
  4. BUZZ_GUY replied to Rinny1's topic in XRS4900
Bro, every update that resolves an issue on the unit should be available to the customers/users.

Could someone please send me firmware 5.0.759? About 80% of their customers do not have the latest update because they wont release a public update as they are focused only on beta releases and their beta team. Why release new buzz units if your existing boxes are not updated with firmware that resolves 90% of the issues for your customers.
  6. BUZZ_GUY replied to Rinny1's topic in XRS4900
Yeah, it is so WOW that they are not releasig updates to users unless your part of their beta team. They are releasing new units leaving their existing units outdated and buggy. Go BUZZ TV.
  7. Is your XRS 4900 is an open area and elevated off of a flat surface? If not, I purchased a 4'x4' usb fan that plugs into my unit. Check Amazon.
  8. BUZZ_GUY replied to Louie60's topic in XRS4900
Hmm, have you checked and ensured that the router is plugged in? Have you made and router modifications? Are you broadcasting your ssid?
  9. Lol... yeah, just concerned about all of our data privacy.
  10. Well, I am not providing any of my personal internet addresses on a public forum except for an email address. However, I can tell you that the provider can have access to your receiver as they load content onto it. Another thing, Google also has access to your box. Plus, we all know the internet is worldwide and anything you put onto the world wide web is available.
  11. Well, tooda loo.... I am asking for it! Someone, please pm me with the latest beta?
  12. Somone provided 5.0.653 and the update worked there are quite some issues as most of you are on 5.0.759. Could someone provide me via PM with 5.0.759?
  13. I have been waiting like others for over a year and I have not been provided an update.
  14. I should not be required to provide anything. It should be provided to me ota or a manual download. Could someone please provide me 5.0.759?
  15. At this point I would stay away from Buzz TV. Why? Because, they are not providing new updates to any of their boxes. It appears only selected people are receiving updates as they are providing their mac address on the web unsecurely to buzz staff on this forum. BUZZ TV needs an overhaul to their process to ensure all theur customers or users are receiving all firmware/software updates.
  16. Could someone please send me the latest beta firmware update? I am not providing my mac address on the internet. It does not appear that BUZZ TV likes to send over the air updates to their customers. It only appears that they want you to provide the mac directly too them when they should be applied to all their boxes. So, someone please send me the latest firmware update as I am on 5.0.653. I believe the latest update is 5.0.759. Thank you;)
  17. Because once Your mac is online your device can always be hacked. That is very unsecure. The updates should be provided to their paying customers.
  18. When will that be because they keep releasing a new box and not provide a main firmware update. The beta updates with the fixes should be considered a firmware update as it would resolve a number of issues. This is the problem. I have yo provide personal confidential information in order to receive an update. That is wrong.
  19. I sure do, if I do not receive any updates. The file should be available fortheir customers to download. i should have to provide personal confidential information to receive an update.
  20. Hi Everyone, I am currently looking for the new beta update for the XRS4900. If someone has it could they please provide me with the update. This is rediculous that we are not being sent the latest updates after spending 250 dollars for this unit and its plagued with issues. I do not want to provide any of my information online. New Updates should be available on Buzz's website for download.
  21. Hi, could someone send me the latest up for my buzz tv xrs4900. It appears the X5 is loaded with .714. Could you please send me the update.
  22. Why should I have to message anyone about an update. The updates should automatically be pushed out to all their boxes for their customers. After spending 250 dollars you would expect to be receiving all the new updates.
  23. Hey guys, Who can provide me with The latest bet firmware? I am not comfortable providing my mac online. Currently, I am on revision 5.0.643. Could someone be kind enough to provide me with the latest update?
  24. Just like my thread title says 5.0.653..
  25. Could one you please provide me with the new update?
