I've always called it pairing but learning sounds better that's why I asked originally tv or box because IR dosen't stand for bluetooth oh and I found a 3rd way to pair a bt400 but that's for another thread...lol

if there's no pairing how does it control power and volume for tv?

well I use buzztv 5 on my xrs 4500 and I was able to use remote and get into other screens as I posted earlier couldn't download and play a game though with no account
