  1. ... and also tried MAC clear. Still can't view Canadian channels. And it seems not all US channels are working after all.
  2. Hello, We were watching a Canadian sports network on our subscription, when BuzzTV wanted us to update (v 973). So we did, and now no Canadian channels will load (you get a black screen). 24/7 channels and (most?) US channels work fine, but we can't get any Canadian channels to work. This worked fine until the update. We tried rebooting, clearing cache, reconnecting to server, nothing seems to work. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hello, We have a new issue with our box, that has has been happening the past month. When watching a stream on Kodi, every 10 minutes or so, there is a significant drop in frame rate (video becomes "jerky"). It sometimes recovers on it's own, but usually a pause-play will fix it. Here are some details that may (or may not) be relevant: When the stream starts playing, the screen will flash for a second (as if it was changing frame rate?). The TV has: max refresh rate 125Hz, interpolation (creates intermediate frames). BuzzTV display mode is at 59.9hz Auto Frame Rate Settings: Enable AFR for Apps=OFF, Always use Exact Framerate=OFF. Any idea what may be causing this issue, and how to fix it? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hello, I wanted to thank you! I installed MX Player and watched 5 episodes. Did not encounter the issue again. However, at the end of an episode it does not seem to mark it as "watched" in the TV Series. I currently need to manually mark each episode as watched, but is there a way to do it automatically?
  5. I will look into that. I tried the backup player. It didn't work; the episode froze in under 3 minutes. Can you please advise me on how to "link" an external player to VOD/TV-Series? In TV Series when I tried playing an episode, it asked which external player I wanted and I chose VLC, but all that did was load the VLC app main menu (the episode didn't play).
  6. Hello all, We have a "premium" service subscription, which offers VOD movies and TV Series. Lately TV Series episodes have become unwatchable. The video/sound will freeze, then resume. But the time it's frozen can be a few seconds to several minutes, and a few seconds later it will freeze again. I'm thinking it may be the service that's having issues. But is it possible it's the app? Is there anything I can try (e.g. settings/option), to reduce this issue? Thanks in advance!
  7. OK, thanks for your help, it was appreciated!
  8. I've tried 7.8.2 (latest), and also: 7.8.1, 7.8.0, 7.7.0. 3.0.65 works though (but without thumbnails)? Thanks for the info! Yeah... not ideal, but at least it's a solution! Can I ask, how did you find that out, and do you know if is this a BuzzTV-specific issue?
  9. Hello, I have a BuzzTV X5 AX-C. I'm trying to install and get Crave app to run. I can install it, when when I try to run it, I see the Crave logo and then it crashes and I get dumped back to the Buzz menu. I've tried many things to get this to work: I've tried installing the most recent version(s), and older version(s). I've tried using different app stores like Aptoide, Uptodown, APKmirror. I haven't tried Play Store (I don't want to log in) but I have tried Aurora (but it's not available in that store). Tried rebooting. Note: Strangely, when installed, the app does NOT appear in Settings > Apps (I went there to try to clear cache). I uninstall the App using the icon on the BuzzTV desktop. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance!
  10. Thank you. But we tried that before, but it didn't work. We'll give it another shot.
  11. Hello, For our subscription, certain channels let you "go back" and watch content aired previously (an hour ago, a day ago, etc). Is it possible to somehow record previously aired content using the PVR? Thanks in advance!
  12. Holy crap, the modem/router reboot worked! We had done that previously BUT quickly (unplugged for ~10 seconds). But this time we left the modem/router unplugged for a full 5 minutes. Then plugged those back in, and the BuzzTV box connected automatically! Thanks so much @Emporium, @dishuser, @Ryu! Your help was/is greatly appreciated!
  13. OK, trying that now.
  14. Hello, We were at my parent's location today, and tried working on this issue again. It's a X5 AI, firmware V20240918, IPTV version 5.0.946 Yes. The ethernet cable is in another room, and that is where we ran the test with the ethernet cable (the box works fine when directly connected with ethernet). Tried this. No change. BUT today we brought the box back with us to our home. And the box connects to the WIFI in our home just fine! So to recap: The (up-to-date) BuzzTV box at location A was connecting fine to WiFi... but then one day won't connect anymore, we get the error "couldn't find [network name]" when trying to connect to WIFI*. * - the router/modem at this location is fairly new. But the BuzzTV box was successfully connecting to this WIFI router for months. We tried directly connecting the BuzzTV box to an ethernet cable, and that works. We brought BuzzTV box to another location (B), and it connects fine to WIFI there. So the issue has something to do with connecting the BuzzTV box to the WIFI at location A. So any ideas on what the issue may be, or what we could try? I'm not very technical so I have no idea what to do now.
  15. I have a new issue on a different box. I have another parent who's X5 box suddenly can't connect to WIFI. It's been working fine for over a year, and stopped working a few days ago. When we enter the password for the WIFI on the X5, we get the error "couldn't find [network name]" (the password is fine, we double-checked it on another device). We also tried connecting the X5 to a hotspot from a phone, and that wouldn't work either. Note that ethernet cable is not plugged into the X5. In the updates section the X5 says it checked for updates 4 days ago (so it should be up-to-date?). We tested directly connecting the X5 to ethernet and that works, but we still need the X5 to connect to WIFI. Does anyone have an idea what may be wrong, and how to fix it?
