Unable to update

Featured Replies

I’ve been stuck on the June 18th firmware.   I tried hard resets, factory resets, etc but it doesn’t update.  Just tried to newest update which downloads and then says to reboot which I do but after it reboots it’s still on the June 18th firmware.  Also will not update the app.

*UPDATE WILL APPEAR 1 HOUR AFTER BOOTING THE BOX OR AFTER 2 HOURS IF BOX IS LEFT ON**

Did you leave the box on, and leave it alone for a while ?  The L1 does not update like other boxes.  You need to leave it on and it will eventually take it's update.

I left the L1 on for the last 22 hours and I’m still unable to update from version 20260612152000.  I get the message that a new firmware version 20260813 is available.  I click confirm, says it’s loading update list, completes that and gives the option to reboot to install.  After I click reboot to install it reboots but still shows the old firmware.  I even clicked remind me later but it never updated

Do you by any change have any usb key or drive attached to it ?  If so, remove it for the update, just in case.

It’s just really strange.  I have other L1’s that I’ve update without any issues, it’s just this particular one that won’t update

When you said you have already tried resets on the boxes, you meant HARD resets ?  By typing 1986 into you the remote from the home screen ?

This is odd.  Maybe reach out to their Customer service email

This was fixed today actually

Was a file error from the OTA server. That wasn't cache properly on some boxes

So it should update now.
