purpose ?  

Is it to be able to use unpowered external hard drives with the unit ?

If that is the case, then you would have to check the specs of your external drives to see how many mA of power they require to spin-up and see how much power the USB hub you choose can output to each port, max.  

With most of my buzz devices, I typically use either a large quality USB stick (which does not require any additional power), or I use powered external drives which do not rely on the host device for power.
