    Not sure on the SS, but won't that be just for BuzzTV s/w updates ?

    Since this is firmware, it would be from home screen, settings (gear icon on top right), and select "Updates" from there and check for updates from there.  You can also see in there what version of firmware you are presently running on the box (assuming it did not already take it automatically - which is should have prompted you are one point).
