Loading Channels Everytime Iptv Starts On E5

My E5 box always spends 3-4 min "loading channels" when starting iptv (Live TV app). I thought it should happen the very first time after powering the E5 box up but it's every time the app starts.

Is this normal and is there a setting to perform loading less frequently.

you could use suspend instead of shutdown

Are you saying do not power off the box but suspend. I don't recall seeing that option.

if possible remove unnecessary channel category or use xc api fas login option.

I am not a fan of "suspend" on any box (except when there is no choice like google certified boxes).  But as Ryu suggests enable the "fast login" option.  Can either do it in the server screen for your server, OR you can go into menu->settings->configuration and you should have an option in there called "login tyoe".

This will force the box to use the already pre-loaded channel list and not re-load it all the time, so it should be very quick to load.

However keep in mind, this does come with one downside.  If your service provider adds/removes channel, categories or movies things around, or changes stream links, you will not be up to date.  So once in a while if you have an issue, go into Menu, and select "refresh" option to reload all the channel list.  At least this way, you can choose the refresh interval.

Example, some services will add dedicated categories for stuff like playoffs, FIFA, Olympics, etc.. You would need to do a manual refresh to see those categories if using the "fast login" option.
