Gary Medeiros Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Will there be a future update that allows us to change the mac address ?? Only asking because i cant use the app as it is. 2 Quote
Emporium Posted July 12 Posted July 12 (edited) Even if you can replicate MAC. Many services also bind to 1 or both DeviceID values, and to the user agent string. So just because you can replicate MAC does not mean it'll work on the app anyhow. If you can, switch to a service with XC API (like DU mentioned). You then no longer need to wory about MAC. Just URL, user/pass and you can install on as many devices are you want. And many even offer multiple simultaneous conenction (2, 4 ,6 etc..) Edited July 12 by Emporium 3 Quote

Yes we will add this in a future update Not sure what is preventing you from using the app without this feature though. 4 Quote

Emporium Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Agreed. I mentioned that. Been a while since I've seen a MAC server that does not use those nowadays. Unless he is really unlucky and someone on the server he uses, has already used the MAC generated by the app. 1 in 16M chances 2 Quote

My provider only uses mac address thats why im asking. That why i cany use the app untill i can input my own mac address Quote
allaboutbuzz Posted July 13 Posted July 13 We already support MAC In server settings When you add a mac server if you think simply copying the mac from another device to the Buzz mobile app will allow you to share the same subscription. It's not that easy. As Emporium explained above. 28 minutes ago, Gary Medeiros said: My provider only uses mac address thats why im asking.
