Siddeley Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 Live tv. Video freezes after 20 seconds. Audio still plays. Up or down channel then back video will play for 20 seconds and freezes again. Unplug and plug back in does not fix the problem. Cleared all caches I could find, no change. Hard wired. Cloned the mac to my 3900 It plays with no problem. Both hooked up to the same tv same channel at the same time. Swap hdmi ports makes any difference. I would do a reset but I do not know how to save my kodi favorites. (would be a royal pita to enter every thing again) My u5 died just after the warranty ran out, this one is getting close to the end of warranty. Version 5.0947 Suggestions? Quote

Siddeley Posted November 27, 2025 Author Posted November 27, 2025 Thanks: I switched to backup video and it is working for the last 10 minutes. Does that mean the primary video is corrupt? Quote
Siddeley Posted November 27, 2025 Author Posted November 27, 2025 Thanks for the reply. Just curious as why it was acting up. I have never had to change the player before on any Buzz box. The default player has always worked. Quote

Carlos Carranza Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I have consistently had issues with freezing video, it does not matter if its on vlc or the default player. This was from day 1 I have had it. My brother inlaw has the classic box and has no issues. I have to consistently unplug the power cycle the box in order for it to work and then it happens again. Absolutely frustrating to be honest. Worst piece of tech I have bought. Quote

nbs. Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Do you also use the same model router? Wired the same? Have you ever taken your box to you bil place to see if issue follows the box? As you said his works fine so its obviously not a worst piece of tech! 2 Quote
