August 11, 20206 yr For some reason having issues powering on or waking up vidstick. The ir extender is plugged in. The remote will turn off but cannot turn on vidstick for some reason. Any help is appreciated. curious if update had anything to do with it.
August 11, 20206 yr Author Yea still not waking up. The Bluetooth is paired too. Not sure what’s going on. I was referring to the server update
August 11, 20206 yr It's the same software for everyone. Does the remote work if you put it close to the ir remote?
August 11, 20206 yr Author Yes I can see the little light on the stick turn on and off when using the remote but it won’t wake up
August 11, 20206 yr Unplug power and plug back in Turn off your bluetooth and see if IR will work then try to pair again
August 11, 20206 yr Author Yea I tried that. Nothing works in terms of waking up or powering on. I literally have to unplug and plug in after device turns off. May have to do with faulty hdmi on the stick. I’ve tried with hdmi connector and just using vidstick hdmi direct to tv.
August 11, 20206 yr Author Is the hole next to the IR pin for the reset? Also how long do I hold down pin before it prompts reset? Never really got clear instructions for vidstick. do I reset while on the main menu ?
August 13, 20206 yr You need to push in the reset button (pin hole to the side of IR jack) and then power up while holding it in, until the menu appears on the screen. I've just been informed that when the BT-100 is paired (via Bluetooth), the IR extender is disabled. If it is not paired, it functions as an IR remote via the IR extender. As an IR remote, I was told, it will wake the ST4000. But it cannot be paired for this function to work... I've been told. Edited August 13, 20206 yr by gmeades
