Button remapping?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to remap the app buttons situated on the bottom of the g-series remote?

Thanks 🙏🏻

No you can't. And I suspect that is a Google restriction on the remote design.

Right now, I know there are 3 buttons you can program to whatever app you want to launch. The star on the top right. The large FreeTV button and the TV button to the right of the Home button.

The first time you press them, you will be prompted to choose what you want the button to be mapped to. If you have already chosen something, you can long press it (3 or 4 seconds) then release it, and it will bring up the mapping screen again.

Can't speak for Buzz, but maybe in the future they can add the colored buttons to the "mappable" buttons when you are in the launcher screen (like on other buzz non-google certified boxes). But I don't know if that is a restriction or not. Google has too many rules for this stuff.

Thanks Emporium! Speedy response and the additional information is useful as I'd only thought the Star button was programmable. Appreciated ✌🏻
