Black screen

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

My PS6 comes on, shows the P6 logo then just has a black screen, any recommendations? Oh and i'd love to give you the firmware info, but unfortunately it's a black screen, and i didn't pay that much attention.

Thanks in advance

Tony

Do you have an nvme drive installed ?  If so, remove it and try again.  If the nvme drive has filed and was formatted and configured as internal storage (instead of portable), the P6 may have installed some app files on the drive and can no longer access them.  You may also need to do a hard factory reset.  When you install an nvme drive (or any external atorage) on android, you are better off formatting as "portable storage".

Thanks for responding Emporium, I don't have a NVME drive installed. I have done a hard reset, on Thursday after this occurred, but it did the same thing this morning, again.

No nvme and no other external storage (usb, etc..) ?

Just checking, you are still using the original power supply that came with the unit ?  Which is 12V,3A (not 5V like most other Buzz boxes) ?

If you have another 12V power supply (minimum 3A) with center positive, and the barrel fits, you can try with another power supply to ensure it is not the power supply failing.

If the unit is still under warranty, you can also just email CS at Buzz and see if they have any other recommendations.

As a test, if you have another HDMI cable, maybe check to see if that helps.  Probably not, but may as well eliminate that.
