My P6 never activates HDR on my TV. Not YouTube, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime. The LG Apps in my TV always do. The Shield Pro displays Amazon Prime in HDR. What's the scoop?

check your settings

It will show 1440 or 2160p and you can even force 3480 x 2160 in the settings but that is not true HDR where the TV goes into HDR mode with completely different display settings. The Prime Video App on the Shield Pro does that. The LG TV APP does it on anything that is HDR or Dolby Video.

Do you have true HD passthrough turned on?

I don't see that setting. I see HDMI Passthrough under Audio settings.

It's under device preferences,decode and bitstream

If your device or app sends true HD it will passthrough the buzz
