Yes regular, name brand batteries not rechargeables updated the firmware to V7 also deleted and re-paired. I will see what happens. Just seems like the remote was malfunctioning. i will keep using and will update. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks RYU, i believe i got a defective remote and has nothing to do with the box. it will just stop working with no red light when a button is pushed. at times the red light will stay solid with no response. I remove the batteries, and the light clears but then no response. very odd. i opened a ticket with tech. support.

Hi all, Just received my power station and getting things set up. while using the remote it seems to freeze and the red light stays constant. i have replaced the batteries and it keeps happening. i have to remove the batteries and it will start working aging but only for a few minutes and freeze again. Any recommendations?
